"Mouthpieces and Pipes of the 18th – early 20th century from private collections"
In 2007, the exhibition "Mouthpieces and Pipes of the 18th – early 20th century from private collections" was held in the Kaliningrad Amber Museum for the first time in Kaliningrad. There was published a book, which comprised articles of the distinguished Russian amber restorer, great amber art expert A. Zhuravlev (1943-2010) and custodian of the State Hermitage Museum pipe collection, Doctor of Historical Science I.Ukhanova. It also included illustrated catalog of the exhibit items. This book is interesting for museum employees and collectors, because of the wide information about the great variety of types and forms, ways of design process, carving techniques, images and plots used for making of smoking accessories based on the example of leading European centers of pipes and mouthpieces production. The book is published in Russian and English.
