ALEXANDER YEMELIANOV
Was born in 1951 in the city of Tashkent, then the Uzbek SSR. In 1973 he graduated from the Tashkent Institute of Railway Transport Engineers with the qualification of «engineer-electrician». After graduation he worked at a printing factory in Tashkent. At the age of 36 he became director of the factory. In 1992 he moved with his family to the Kaliningrad region, to the village of Kovrovo in Zelenogradsk district.
Alexander established a family business, Mebikem Ltd, a unique company that manufactures high end furniture, interior objects, souvenirs from wood with the use of intarsias. The company patented a method of making goods from wood with amber encrustation.
Alexander is the chief designer, ideologist, concept developer, inspirer and pivot of the business.
The style of the objects in the collection reflects modern and empire styles in their Russian execution. The amber encrustations are mainly vegetative in design. Sometimes direct replicas can be found in the pictures.
